What to Expect on Your First Visit

detail_3.jpgYour first visit to Bay Area Chiropractic will include a consultation with the doctor to discuss your health concerns and/or reasons for your visit. We will review your entire health history and do an initial examination to determine if chiropractic care is appropriate for you. Following your exam, the doctor will give you a report of findings and tell you his recommendations for treatment, if applicable.

Ask Dr. Pensack a Question

After your initial consultation, the doctor will give you a complete chiropractic examination. Diagnostic methods may include testing your reflexes, your ability to turn and bend, as well as other standard orthopedic, neurological, postural, and physical examinations. The information gathered through this exam will provide the key information about your condition and course of treatment. Since each patient is unique, the doctor will customize both testing and treatment.

If necessary, x-rays may be taken, and in certain cases, the doctor may refer you for additional testing procedures. (examples: M.R.I., Cat-Scan, or blood work ensure that your condition is properly diagnosed). In acute cases, the doctor may elect to provide treatment immediately.

Bay Area Chiropractic participates in many insurance programs and also accepts some workers compensation cases, at the sole discretion of the doctor. Fees for our services are typical of chiropractic offices in Northern California. For new patients, payment is due at the time of the service (cash, check, MC/Visa). For established patients with insurance, we will bill insurance when provided with your in-force insurance company information.
